Sunday morning breakfast

I've come down with a cold. It's not miserable yet, but my throat's sore and my breath's gone rotten.

I'm not normally an oatmeal for breakfast person, but this morning decided that the warm softness of oatmeal was exactly what my body wanted. (Especially since they recommend staying away from dairy product when you have a cold.)

I didn't think we had raisins, so I browsed the internet for some inspiration while my water boiled.

Ended up playing with Chocolate Oatmeal with some hints from Creme Brulee Oatmeal. Added brown sugar, coco powder, little bit of vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg to my oatmeal as it was setting. Topped it off with frozen raspberries. Another day, I might add a few pecans to it. But for now, it's just about perfect.

It might actually get me to like oatmeal.

Sounds good.

I had forgotten it was Sunday. For the severalth time today. These tests need to be over so bad.

What cake ingredients were going to be hard for you to get, by the way?

Oh tests. Bah. Good luck with them! How much longer before you actually take them?

I had raisins and brown sugar oatmeal this morning. Not sure what version I'll try tomorrow, but I bet I'll have another one. It's hard to give my voice a rest while I'm teaching. Thanks for the well wishes though.

Deleted your duplicate comment. Hope you don't mind. :-)

Tests-- the one yesterday went pretty well, I probably passed. There were some problems I was not so confident on, and one I didn't answer but no-one else did either. (Except maybe the first-years, to whom I am not speaking, because collectively I have nothing kind to say to them at the moment and it is too much bother to try to distinguish between them. Next week maybe I will be a better person, or at least pretend.) First two hours felt great, last hour was spent fretting and trying to work out things I had no real idea how to approach. I hate tests like that, but it's kind of all closed book math tests.

Yesterday's was what I was most nervous about, so hopefully the rest of this will be a breeze. Still studying, though. Over after Friday, except for the waiting for results, which shouldn't be too long.
