Today is a snowday. Lazy dazy. Curled up on the couch poking around online in-between naps. In the midst of that poking around, I came across a series of paintings by Victoria Reichelt.
She's painting people's bookshelves.
I love reading people's bookshelves. Especially since moving to middle of nowhere. If I visit your house I'm liable to borrow a book. See? Half of these books belong to people who aren't even in the country anymore.
I was inspired to run around the house photographing my own shelves. I've bought fair number of books too. Most of these were last year's.
Whereas these were bought last month.
I've read one of the piles. Waiting on the other pile.
Of course, life here wouldn't be complete without lesson planning materials.
Which have slowly migrated from school to my living room.
I tried to be honest and not straighten my shelves. It's clear, when I move next year, I need more shelf space. The alternative, getting rid of books, doesn't make sense to me. Though I guess most of the math books won't be coming with me.
